tesa® 53949 is the gaffer tape tailored for trade shows, stage productions, and live events. With its high adhesion, easy handling, and matte, completely non-reflective surface, it is as functional behind the scenes as it is invisible in front of the audience – the first choice when event professionals cannot afford to compromise.

The tape is constructed with a PE-coated 80-mesh PET fabric backing and a natural rubber adhesive – a construction that provides excellent adhesion, abrasion resistance, and water resistance. The matte surface completely absorbs light, making it the obvious choice in all environments where reflections are an issue. The tape tears by hand and removes effortlessly.

Available in black and white. Supplied in 50 mm width and 50 m per roll.

tesa® 53949 is used for all types of applications on stage, backstage, and in exhibition halls where reflection is unacceptable. Typical applications include fixing cables on stage floors, carpets, and walls, covering shiny and reflective surfaces in stage productions, marking positions for technical crew and actors, securing props and set elements, floor marking at events and conferences, and temporary equipment repairs during production.

The tape's 80 mesh PET fabric with PE coating provides a semi-stiff construction that tears with straight edges and withstands intensive stress. Abrasion-resistant and waterproof – reliable even in damp and harsh outdoor environments.

Recommended for clean surfaces. Works on most substrates, even uneven ones. Withstands temperatures up to 125 °C for short periods.
